History:

Marvon - Azienda

Showing the kind of business instinct that has made Lombardy famous, Clemente Monchieri and Luigi Rossi set up Marvon in 1967. Initially a small-scale business, the company produced extruded PVC pipes for the irrigation sector.

Marvon - AziendaIn the early 70’s, Marvon expanded its core business to include new manufacturing processes such as injection molding and chrome electroplating for plastics. In the meantime, the first plastic accessories for the furnishing sector, including plastic caps for metal tubes and feet for shelving and armchairs, began to appear on the market.

The 80’s marked an important turning point for Marvon, as it began to manufacture components for cups and trophies. It was probably the first business in Europe to manufacture plastic cups and trophies with chrome and gold electroplating, and would go on to gain a leading edge in this sector, both in Italy and in international markets.

In the 90’s, with the advent of new technologies and a need to diversify production, Marvon embraced a new challenge - the household goods sector.

In early 2000, an important new range was added to the company’s successful line-up of products. Marvon launched its “Safety” line, producing fire door bars and graphite-based intumescent seals for the fire door industry – a sector which is rapidly expanding as a result of increasingly stringent fire prevention standards.

The year 2002 marked a new and important turning point for Marvon. In fact, in the month of September it became a member of the Fondital Group

An important year for Marvon, in fact, in February it celebrated 40 years in business and in March it was awarded the environmental certificate ISO 14001 .
